I had the most fantastic safari experience in Feb 2013 and would love to go again. Hafidh was so informative and able to answer all our questions about the wildlife. The lodges that we stayed in had excellent watering holes so we were able to continue viewing the animals well in to the evenings.
I would not hesitate to recommend Hafidh to anybody that wanted to go on safari, he really is an excellent guide and was a pleasure to spend time with.

I have been on 4 Safari's with Hafidh. The first was on my first trip to Kenya with my son for his 20th Birthday in 2010.
We were recommended - at that time to Hafidh's boss - by a waitress in the hotel we were staying in. We did not know who to trust and we were constantly being approached when outside the resort which was quite worrying.
We arranged to meet Hafidh in the Hotel. The price we had an idea of, as we had talked to other guests and had looked at prices on some websites before we left the UK.
We were picked up at our hotel at the time we agreed by Hafidh - and our long friendship began. As there was just my son and I, we picked up 3 other people - a Scottish couple and a German man, to help to share the cost.
The scenery along the way is so beautiful and the villages you pass though are an "eye opener" - I love it. We made a stop just before Tsavo East and enjoyed a barter for the souvenirs we purchased, and a coffee while stretching our legs.
We were an inquisitive lot and whatever questions we asked, Hafidh always answered with knowledge … and we felt he really enjoyed telling us about Kenya and the animals in the park. We were to ask many questions during that Safari and we all learned a lot.
On that Safari, Hafidh's wife was expecting their first child and we had an enjoyable first evening at the lodge discussing this, and the day's events over dinner. Not many people invite their driver to have dinner with them and you do not have to, but we were 5 people getting to know each other and one more was fine with us. (The baby did not arrive that night, but did arrive after he got home).
We always felt safe, protected and very lucky to have got Hafidh on our first trip.
We covered many miles and were the first to leave the lodge every morning (5.00am) and cover some area before the other trucks got out. On one of these early morning starts, we were lucky to see a female lion with her clubs on a ridge and Hafidh found us a prime viewing position. Hafidh also found us a leopard (Spotted). We "townie's" would have well and truly missed this spectacular sight.
Since then I have been on 3 other Safari's with Hafidh to Amboseli-Shimba and Saltlick (the latter for my Honeymoon).
These days Hafidh works for himself and we Facebook him for a price and arrange to be picked up on a set day … and an itinerary is arranged before we leave home. He now has 2 lovely children and we keep in contact on Facebook, he even came to my wedding in Mombasa, with his wife and children in February 2013.
