This is a day road safari from Mombasa
Safari starting point: Safari begins in Mombasa by road and ends in Mombasa.
Day 1: Mombasa - Shimba Hills national Reserve
- Pick up from you hotel early in the morning an drive for about 45 minutes to Shimba national reserve. Start straight with a game drive within the rain forest until time for lunch.
- Proceed for lunch at the Shimba lodge the only tree hotel at the coast.
- Relax after lunch then head out for another game drive to the Mwaluganje Elephant Sanctuary.
- Proceed with a game drive in Mwaluganje until around 18.30hrs
- Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Shimba Hills national Reserve - Tsavo East
- Have breakfast at the Shimba lodge then proceed for a game drive to the Sheldrick's falls until around 1000hrs and drive out of the reserve heading to Tsavo east, entering the park through Bachuma gate. Begin game viewing on entry, looking out for lion, buffalo, cheetah, elephant, baboons, gerenuk, a variety of antelopes, hundreds of species of birds and plenty of other plains game.
- Proceed to Voi Safari lodge or similar for check in and lunch. Short rest then return back to the park for game tracking. We drive near the water holes where animals come to quench their thirst.
- Return to your safari lodge by sunset for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Tsavo East - Taita Hills Salt Lick Game Sanctuary
- Early pre-breakfast game drive. Return to Voi safari lodge in Tsavo east for breakfast. Mid morning game drive as you exit Tsavo east for Taita hills Salt Lick Game Sanctuary proceed with game viewing as you drive towards Taita Hills Lodge for Check-in and lunch.
- An afternoon game in tha Taita hills Salt Lick Game Sanctuary.
- Dinner and overnight at Salt Lick Lodge.
Day 4: Taita Hills Salt Lick Game Sanctuary - Mombasa
- Pre-breakfast game drive. Return to the lodge for breakfast and proceed for a morning game drive and drive out of the game sanctuary.
- Lunch at a hotel in Voi town.
- After lunch depart for Mombasa arriving late in the afternoon
