The Samburu/Buffalo Springs and Shaba National Reserves are small but scenic reserves ranging in altitude from 800 to 1230 metres/263-404feet, and have the Ewaso Nyiro River in common. It is the unique wildlife, including the gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa Oryx and reticulated giraffe that attracts many visitors to this area. All the Big Five Game of Africa can be seen in these national reserves.

Samburu Game Lodge:
Samburu Game Lodge is located on the Western bank of the Ewaso Nyiro river set on 10 acres of pristine riverine forest lies ; the lodge blends in perfectly with the natural environment in the arid and hot fringes of Kenya's vast Northern Frontier District in Samburu National Park.


​Samburu game lodge offers 61 cottages, rooms and suites, all of them are decorated using exquisite fabrics and materials to create a peaceful and serene environment.

Ashnil Samburu Safari Lodge:
Ashnil Samburu Safari Lodge is located in Buffalo Springs Reserve, near Samburu National Reserve. The Camp is set in the spectacular backdrop of the mighty Ol Olokwe mountain fronting Ewaso Nyiro River. A stay here gives you unrivalled access to game viewing. Ashnil Samburu Lodge boasts of 24 tents, located on either side of the main buildings and looking out over the river Ewaso Nyiro.

Samburu Intrepids Camp:
Samburu Intrepids Camp is located deep inside Samburu National Reserve on the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River. The lodge's locations offers close encounters with the region's wildlife. Situated , Samburu Intrepids looks out over riverbanks where herds of elephant, buffalo and zebra come daily to drink –together with the rarer ‘northern species’ of reticulated giraffe, Beisa Oryx and long-necked gerenuk antelope

Sarova Shaba Lodge
Sarova Shaba Lodge is a luxury lodge located on the periphery of Shaba National Reserve overlooking the crocodile infested Uaso Nyiro river. It has 80 thatched roofed bedrooms all air conditioned, one superior suite and four luxury suites, all including private bath and shower, hot and cold running water.

​The superior suite has a Jacuzzi. Facilities include 1 swimming pool featuring a waterfall and small islands, laundry service, a medical clinic, a restaurant and 2 bars.
