PLANNING YOUR SAFARI

Kenya's flag is a black, red, green, and white with a traditional Masai shield and white spears in the center. The flag was adopted on December 12, 1963. The black represents the people of Kenya, the red represents blood, the green represents natural wealth, and the white represents peace. The Masai shield and spears represents the defense of freedom.

Kenya's is a land of endless potential and a delight for wildlife enthusiasts.  Not only is there the Big 5 to look for, but there is also an abundance of birdlife and an Indian Ocean full of other wonders and corals.

For your safari, you can have choices.  You can plan and finalise your safari through your travel agent, or directly with an operator in Mombasa.  You can choose to go by air, by road or have a mixture of both.  Of course, if you fly, then you will miss much of the stunning scenery - which is much of a safari experience.

If you enjoy the planning aspect of a trip and like to travel independently of a group of tourist you don't know, a customised and tailored safari is the one for you.

WHEN TO VISIT
You really can visit Kenya any time of the year.   The coastal region of Kenya is predominately hot and humid all the year round.  However, soothed by the sea breezes, the cooler winter months are extremely pleasant.

DOING IT YOUR WAY
With Hafidh's Safaris, I can visit you at your hotel or apartment, learn what you would like and anticipate to see or experience, advise you of your options and be your own personal driver for your adventure.

We shall travel in a minivan with a pop up roof.  You will have exclusive use of the vehicle, with the added benefit of enjoying flexibility in your schedule and the bonus of being able to say at a sight for as long as you would like, and even go on detours to suit your personal interests.

                                                    F = 9/5 (C+32)

____________________________________________________________________________________________________                                                                      Summer = December to March
                                                                       Winter   = July to August

JANUARY AND FEBRUARY ...   Hot and dry
The animals are easy to see, at this time, at the numerous water holes.

MARCH, APRIL AND MAY  ...   Short rains
Everywhere is colourful, lush and beautiful

JULY, AUGUST and SEPTEMBER  ...   The Great Migration
This time is likely to be very busy, with many tours to witness this amazing site.

OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER and JANUARY  ...   Very pleasant temperatures
This, too, will make it a high tourist season, if you can tolerate it!
